The Wednesday Night Barefoot Bowls Triples Competition concluded last Wednesday with all teams participating in an exciting finals series. Several close games occurred throughout the sudden death knockout series.
The Top 8 overall winner were the ‘Pensioners’ who defeated a valiant ‘Burra Boys’ team in the Grand Final.
The Bottom 4 overall winner was the ‘Sheep Assist’ team who defeated the ‘Bowls to the Walls’ team in the Grand Final.
Thank you to all the teams who participated in the competition as the club looks forward to a full season commencing later in the year!
The Club is extremely proud of the efforts of the ‘odd couple’, Adam Donohue and Rod ‘Bear’ McKail who were runner-up to the Croydon combination of Zac Woning and Ryan Drummond in the Eastern Region Men’s Pairs Championship Final on Sunday at Mitcham. They performed admirably and fought the game out well against very talented opposition.
New players, including beginners snf experienced, are always welcome to join this small but progressive club. Social Bowls continues to be played every Monday from 12 midday. All welcome!
