Hoddles Creek Cricket Club has won the Community Cricket Club of the Year award.

After being nominated in January 2022 and invited by Cricket Victoria’s Chair and Chief Executive Officer, on Wednesday 23 March 2022 Hoddles Creek Cricket Club (as a finalist) was represented at the awards night at CitiPower Centre in St Kilda.

The Cricket Victoria Community Cricket Awards provide opportunity to highlight the unsung community heroes who continue to make cricket a better, more inclusive sport for everyone.

The award categories were Community Cricket Club of the Year, Community Cricket Association of the Year, Community Cricket Coach of the Year, Young Leader of the Year, Community Partnership of the

Year, Women and Girls Initiative of the Year, Celebrating Cricket in Schools, Technology and Media Initiative of the Year, Community Match Official of the Year, Inclusion and Diversity Initiative of the Year, Indoor Facility of the Year, Junior Cricket Initiative of the Year, and Premier Club of the Year.

Hoddles Creek Cricket Club received the award for their efforts to actively create a welcoming environment and seeking to create sustainable participation and growth through good governance, volunteer support and inclusive on-field programs.
