Forestry Transition funds now available for Upper Yarra businesses

An information session for businesses affected by the end of native timber harvesting will take place next Tuesday 29 July.

The Forestry Transition Fund Information Session will take place at the Yarraburn Centre, 1-3 Park Road, Yarra Junction from 5.30pm-7.30pm.

Round two of the Forestry Transition Fund, which helps eligible business and industry groups in townships affected by the end of native timber harvesting is open for expressions of interest.

Grants from $10,000 to $1 million are available to help Upper Yarra businesses expand, diversify, or create new local jobs.

Round one of the Forestry Transition Fund grants program distributed more than $2.4 million across 30 applications for new projects.

There will be opportunities to speak to department representatives and to learn from businesses who have already applied for the Forestry Transition Fund.
