It’s about time to get into the much-needed festive spirit and here’s how to in Warburton.
The Christmas Cheer will be kickstarted by the annual Warburton Festive Market on Friday 2 December from 4pm to 8pm.
Stalls will be filled with creative works from local artists, handmakers and craftspeople with more than 30 vendors scheduled to be there, with wares including pottery, jewellery, paintings, woodworks, ceramics, body care products, ceramics, plants, cards, cookies and so much more. The Warburton Fire Brigade will be on hand with its new historical commemorative book, and rumour has it, Santa may even arrive in one of their fire engines!
Koha Community Café will be serving up vegetarian fare and running a new Toasty Tent, while the Little Yarra Creperie will be serving up its sweet and savoury crepes, and a sausage sizzle from the Warburton Primary School.
The Yarra Valley’s musical talent will also be on show, with Phoebe like the Moon kicking things off at 4.30pm followed by Awol Monks and wrapping up with the great African rhythms of Kofi Kunkpe and the Yarra Valley Drummers.
On 23 December, the Warburton Advancement League will also be hosting Warburton Carols by Candlelight 2022 on the grassed area between the Warburton Holiday Park and Warburton Water World. Residents are encouraged to dust off their picnic blankets, get out their picnic baskets and warm up their tonsils for the event.
