Driver airlifted after Warby Highway head-on



A woman has been airlifted to The Alfred following a head on collision in Woori Yallock on Sunday.

Leading Senior Constable Brett McCormick from Yarra Ranges Highway Patrol said the accident occurred around 2.45pm on Sunday 7 March.

The woman, in her 30’s, was airlifted in a serious but stable condition, according to Ambulance Victoria.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a school-aged boy was taken to Maroondah Hospital via ambulance in a stable condition, and a female child was also taken to The Royal Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Warburton Highway was closed in both directions from Symes Road to Woori Yallock main intersection for the remainder of Sunday afternoon.

An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently underway.
