Air quality warning

Recently the Yarra Ranges, along with many other locations around the state have experienced days of poor air quality due to the recent bushfires.

For people in smoke affected areas, the Environment Protection Authority Victoria advises to stay indoors if possible, closing all doors and windows; switch air conditioners to ‘recycle’ or ‘recirculate’ and to avoid exercise.

Anyone experiencing wheezing, chest tightness and difficulty breathing should call 000. If you have concerns about your health, please seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024.

To stay on top of current air quality conditions in your area and tips about what you can do, please visit emergency.vic.gov.au or epa.vic.gov.au/EPAAirWatch.
