Students with heart

Seville Primary School students excitedly unpacked the defibrillator they worked so hard to raise funds for.

Ava, with Chloe’s enthusiastic help, applied to Wandin’s Golden Opportunity Shop for funding while on junior school council last year.

They received $2000 to buy the automated external defibrillator (AED).

It’s registered with Ambulance Victoria and is available to the wider community during school opening hours.

The school also recently hosted an animal day to raise funds for Coldstream Animal Aid.

Students dressed-up, played animal games and held a parade – all run, planned and co-ordinated by the junior school council.

They raised $132 and handed the fund to Elle and Harvey the dog from Animal Aid.
