With only one stage left in the 2024 Dakar Rally, Daniel Sanders has solidified his place in the top 10.

Sanders finished eighth in Stage Eleven and sits eighth in the overall rankings as well.

On his Facebook page, Sanders said it wasn’t too bad.

“It was a 420km special and I positioned 8th for the day and I sit 8th overall,” he said.

“Getting to the end of the 14 days, the body is really starting to feel the burn, especially from virtually no training coming up to Dakar.”

American Ricky Brabec has all but sewn up his second Dakar victory, 10 minutes and 22 seconds of Botswanan Ross Branch and 14 minutes and 31 seconds ahead of Frenchman Adrien Van Beveren with 232km left in the race.
