Mud at the lake for cross country

Yarra Ranges Athletics returned to their favorite course at Lillydale Lake on the weekend. Some fantastic clearing work by council staff meant the normal course was possible, albeit with some additional slippery and muddy sections.

Athletes were determined to run hard with the prospect of a choccie frog for a course PB, so there was plenty of intensity and lots of mud. Well done to all our finishers, helpers and the set up crew for another fun morning of cross country.

Next weekend we return to Margaret Lewis Reserve where we hope to find some more mud and puddles.

Yarra Ranges Athletics welcomes and encourages all athletes of any age or ability. Club training continues with 6-12yo training on Wednesdays at Morrison Reserve from 4pm with Kate and open age training on Tuesdays from 5.30pm at Morrison Reserve and Thursdays from 5.30 at Victoria Rd Primary School gym.
