What to do when you see stray livestock

If you see livestock wandering in the Yarra Ranges, call Victoria Police on 000 if there’s an immediate safety or road hazard, or contact Yarra Ranges Council Safer Communities Team anytime on 1300 368 333.

Placing stray livestock in nearby paddocks or pens can lead to serious biosecurity and animal welfare consequences.

This helps ensure the animals are relocated safely and properly — protecting them, our farmers and our local food systems.
