Plants stolen from Hoddles Creek Primary School

The Hoddles Creek Primary School had some its precious plants stolen overnight between 5pm 31 July and 7am 1 August.

All of its daffodils, lemons and 12 potted succulents were stolen.

The school announced the theft on its Facebook page an expressed concern surrounding the act.

“We were saddened to arrive at school this morning to see all of our bunches of daffodils (including the lovely vase they were in), lemons and about 12 potted succulents (some in fancy mugs and some in pots) stolen.

“Obviously the person didn’t like the grapefruit as these remain on our market trolley,” the post read.

The daffodils were only picked yesterday by the school’s students.

“The succulents were propagated by our students and placed in mugs or pots along with soil. Our students love checking the money tin to see how much money has been placed in there.”

The school urged anyone who has seen suspicious activity around the school to get in touch. You can call Hoddles Creek Primary School on 5967 4282.
