The CFA has issued a warning about recent products which were recalled for posing a fire risk.
The CFA issued the warning in a Facebook post on 9 July for the Master Pacific’s LENA bed (king and queen sizes) for its risk of causing a fire.
Electronic products have the potential to overheat when not used with proper care, and this has been known to start fires.
On 27 May, the Star Mail reported on a house fire in Warburton which was caused by an electrical appliance.
Fire can start as the interconnecting cable used inside the headboard’s lighting and USB assembly may overheat.
Risk of serious burn injuries or death and property damage if the interconnecting cable overheats and catches fire.
Consumers should immediately unplug the LENA Bed from the power and stop using the built-in lighting and USB charging functions.
They should then contact Master Pacific for a replacement cable and installation instructions at recall@masterpacific.com.au.
