Celebrate national tree day this July

Celebrate National Tree Day this July at one of Yarra Ranges Council’s upcoming planting days.

Taking place at various locations around the shire, participants will plant groundcovers, shrubs and trees.

The council is encouraging people to join along – the more who participate the easier it is.

Participants are advised to bring their own gloves, refreshments and waterproof clothing for the elements.

Registrations for all three events are completely free.

The first planting day is at Birdsland in Belgrave Heights, 20 July from 10am-12.30pm.

The second day is a landcare planting day which takes place at the corner of Fauna Avenue and Badger Creek, Road Badger Creek, 27 July from 9.30am to 12pm.

Finally, the Seville planting day takes place at Wandin Yallock Creek, west of Victoria Road on 3 August from 10am-1pm.

To register, visit: yarraranges.vic.gov.au/Explore-Yarra-Ranges/Events and find the event of your choice.
