Young Victorians have the chance to submit their designs to showcase their work on over a million youth myki cards and to win a $1000 gift card.
Minister for Public and Active Transport Gabrielle Williams today announced that from tomorrow, children between the ages of five and 17 will be able to put their creativity to the test as part of a competition to design the new youth myki cards.
“Whether you’re into drawing, painting, digital art or graphic design this is a great way to showcase your art to Victoria,” Ms Williams said.
Designs for the new youth myki can be hand drawn or a digital illustration – with the new card set to stand out from the current myki card range.
Entries will close on 15 June 2025 and winners will be announced later this year.
The youth myki was announced as part of the Victorian Budget 2025/26 to deliver free public transport to children from 1 January 2026 – ensuring cheaper school runs, more affordable weekends and one less thing for families to worry about.
