Daimler Truck Australia recalls Fuso and Fighter models

Daimler Truck Australia have recalled its 7224 Fuso Fighter and Heavy models.

The recall notice was issued on 26 May and includes models made in the year range 2017-2023.

Over 7200 models have been recalled due to a manufacturing defect where the turn signal indicator lamps in these models may not operate as intended when the lever on the combination switch is activated.

The affected variants are: FM65FH, FM65FM, FM65FS, FM67FM, FM67FS, FN62FK, FN63FU, FN64FU, FP54SG, FS52SS, FS54SS, FV51SK, FV54SJ, FV54SK and FV54ST.

If the turn signal indicators do not operate as intended, other road users may be unable to identify if the vehicle is turning. This could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to book an appointment to have the rectification carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.

For more information, owners can call Daimler Truck Australia on 1800 033 557, email DT_Campaigns@daimlertruck.com and/or visit fuso.com.au.
