Lilydale police have caught three dangerous, law-breaking motorists on Sunday 27 April as part of Operation Compass.
The Yarra Ranges Eyewatch Facebook page reported at about 1.20 AM, Lilydale night shift located two 17-year-old males riding unregistered and unroadworthy dirt bikes on Warburton Highway, Seville.
Police soon discovered that the teens did not hold rider licences.
One teen from Powelltown provided a positive breath test and will be summonsed to court for drink driving and traffic offences after blowing .021 on an Evidentiary Breath Test (EBT).
The other rider from Launching Place will receive three infringement notices in the mail costing him around $2700.
Less than two hours later, Lilydale night shift police intercepted a 31-year-old Woori Yallock man driving at 90Km/h in a 60 zone.
The man returned a positive roadside breath test and returned to the Lilydale Police Station for an EBT and blew .205.
This man will be summonsed to go to court at a later date.
His licence was immediately suspended and his vehicle impounded at a cost of $1006.
