Over seven thousand Mitsubishi’s recalled

Just under 7,500 Mitsubishi Outlander variants were recalled on Wednesday.

A manufacturing mishap means the steering wheel touch sensors could be defective – thus the car mightn’t be able to tell when the driver is touching the wheel or not, and the MI-PILOT system may not work.

This is dangerous as it could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The variants affected are the Exceed and Exceed Tourer variants dated 2022-2023.

If you own one of these vehicles, get in touch with your preferred Mitsubishi Motors Australia dealer to have the wheel replaced free of charge.
