Melbourne Water will be delivering an summer fresh release of approximately 1.7GL of water that has been set aside for the environment into the Yarra River (Birrarung) from Monday 20 January to Friday 31 January.
The release will commence on Monday from the Upper Yarra and O’Shannassy reservoirs to help provide a peak flow of around 350 ML/d at Millgrove (24 and 25 January). Water released will then combine with a release commencing from Maroondah Reservoir along Watts River on Tuesday 21 January to help provide a peak flow of around 750 ML/d at Warrandyte (27 and 28 January).
