Kmart issues two recalls

Two Kmart products have been recalled this week.

The Anko soft activity ball, a multicoloured soft play ball with rattles on two sides, has been recalled as it may not comply with the mandatory standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age.

The plastic dome containing the small balls can separate from the product creating small parts, creatinga risk of serious injury or death from choking if young children put the small balls in their mouth.

Consumers should top using the product immediately and keep it out of reach of children.

Return the product to your place of purchase for a refund. The product was available nationally and online through both Kmart and Target between 3 August 2024 and 18 October 2024.

Kmart has also recalled some Christmas themed Anko bedding, available in:

Mr & Mrs Claus queen bed quilt cover set

Christmas Elf reversible single bed quilt cover set

Merry Christmas pillowcase set

Santa & Elves pillowcase set

Christmas Quilt single bed quilt cover set

The product emits a strong chemical odour that may cause reactions to consumers, as it did not cure properly during the manufacturing process.

There is risk of serious injury and/or illness if the products come into contact with skin or if the odour is inhaled.

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and return the quilt cover to their nearest Kmart store for a refund.
