Flood warning issued for Yarra River

A minor flood warning has been issued for the Yarra River downstream of Coldstream with the forecast rainfall on Monday 15 July.

A low in the Tasman Sea is forecast to track towards Bass Strait during Monday and Tuesday, with a series of associated troughs crossing Victoria. This will bring showers, tending to rain, across the flood watch area.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are relatively wet.

48 hour rainfall totals of up to 60 to 90 mm are possible Monday and Tuesday across the Flood Watch area.

River level rises and minor flooding may develop across the Flood Watch area from Monday evening.
