A WHYLD month of community events

The WHYLD community group is hosting a number of events throughout June for local residents to enjoy.

The Winter Craft minimarket will be held on Saturday 15 June from 12pm to 3pm at the Don Valley Hall, one of the group’s regular seasonal minimarkets with plenty to purchase and enjoy.

This will be followed by a Winter Warming Bonfire Night to celebrate the winter solstice on Sunday 23 June from 4pm to 7pm at the Woori Yallock Scout Hall to help combat those wintery nights in the coldest months of the year.

There will be hot drinks and alcohol-free mulled wine available from the Yarra Valley Red Cross stall, as well as their array of winter woolies. A sausage sizzle, roasted nuts by WHYLD, toasted marshmallows from the 1st Woori Yallock Scouts, live music by Richard Brown and Nluebird and a lantern parade will all be their to enjoy for only a gold coin donation which will support the Hillcrest CFA.

The customer monthly movie night on the last Friday of the month will be a screening of The Secret Garden on Friday 28 June starting at 6.30pm in the Don Valley Hall. Entry is free but attendees are asked to bring a plate of goodies to share during an intermission supper.
