72,000 AusNet customers are still without power following the catastrophic storms that swept across Victoria earlier this week.

Ausnet’s field crews were able to restore 25,000 customers overnight. They anticipate there will still be approximately 50,000 customers without power by the end of today, and the majority of other customers to have their power restored by Saturday evening. There will be a small number of customers in the hardest hit areas that will be without power heading into next week.

500 field crews and 2 helicopters are continuing work today in response to over 700 incidents.

Customers are continuing to receive SMS messages advising of their restoration times.

If you’re in immediate danger, call 000. For emergency services, call the SES on 13 25 00.

AusNet apologises for the impact that this is having on their customers without power.
