Kawasaki general engines in lawn mowers recalled



Kawasaki general engines with voltage regulators (part no. 21066-0785), installed in select Cub Cadet and Hustler lawn mowers have been recalled on 29 January 2024.

The voltage regulator in the affected Kawasaki general-purpose engines and installed in Cub Cadetor Hustler lawn mowers can malfunction.

The affected mowers can catch fire at any time, even if the engine is off or not in use.

There is risk of fire, serious injury or death and/or damage to property if the voltage regulator malfunctions.

Consumers should immediately stop using their affected mowers until further notice.

Consumers should disconnect the negative battery cable and secure it away from the negative battery post.

If you are unsure on how to disconnect the battery, please contact your local dealer.
