Three… Halloween movies

Three Halloween movies for this spooky season. Picture: ON FILE

Monster House

This is a somewhat forgotten classic for kids that grew up in the 2000s, which deserves to be introduced to newer generations. It’s an animated flick set on Halloween about kids trying to figure out the creepy house in the neighbourhood. It’s funny and lighthearted with some exciting scares along the way.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Who doesn’t love Wallace and Gromit? Well quite a few kids don’t know them and that’s a shame because they are missing out on a classic series of animated movies. The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is their big, spooky feature film. It’s great fun, great animation and still has the nostalgic charm adults can enjoy. Preferable to watch with cheese and crackers.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch

Best if the kids are in bed for this one. The classic Halloween would make sense for what to watch this week, but change it up this year. The franchise has 13 films at this stage, most of them not very good, but the third instalments is so weird and goofy that you just have to give it a go. It’s best not to know anything going in.
