A Stroll for Erol

Thanks to this year’s opening of the River Walk on River Road, Millgrove resident Errol can enjoy being amongst nature.

Sending a photo of himself enjoying the walk on scooter to the Yarra Ranges Council, Errol said “being able to move through the bush again was a profoundly moving experience.”

“My mind was racing with the possibilities for other disabled people to be able to experience what I was feeling,” Errol said.

The post on the Millgrove Residents Action Group Facebook Page, was the site of much appreciation for the work the group undertook to bring this River Walk to life.

From the proposal being turned down in 2015 and the trials of the pandemic to funding surpassing $192 thousand, the Millgrove Residents Action Group has worked to create an oasis for the community.
