Police put hoons on notice

Police are asking for public assistance with hoon drivers. Picture: ON FILE

Police have recently received several reports of hoon driving in the Wandin North and Seville areas over the past few weeks.

They have appealed to the public via social media for assistance in the matter.

Police request that if people have witnessed hoon driving behaviour in these areas or have information to assist investigators that they please make an anonymous report via Crimestoppers.

Reports of hoon driving help Victoria Police target repeat offenders and focus on specific locations.

Doubling a car’s speed means it requires four times the distance to stop.

People can report this online at the following web address:

With the reference INT23IR2843394 when submitting their report.

People should also include the following details.: Date, time, location, make, model, registration number and occupant description (or as much information as possible).
