Yarra Ranges Mountain Riders have confirmed via social media that the Wesburn pump track is officially underway on Friday 11 August.
The group said that as but as far as they know this will be one of the largest pump tracks to date in Australia.
“We’re super stoked to see our future trailhead come along. Perhaps the cart before the horse, but it’s a start on something. This will be open in time for summer. We can picture it already – a couple of Hey Hey laps, then down to the pump track,” the post read.
The Yarra Ranges Council website had previously released that works were scheduled to commence in the last week of July.
The new pump track will be constructed on the existing asphalt court area behind the playground and recently refurbished toilet block.
These upgrades are set to be completed in October depending on weather conditions.
