A new Avenue of Honour Dedication on this morning on Saturday 1 July at 9.45am at the Millgrove Memorial Park (near CFA).
Invitation to everyone in Millgrove to attend, especially descendants of fallen Millgrove soldiers.
The five World War One Soldiers to whom these trees are dedicated:
• Arthur Norman Platt – Killed in Action 28 August, 1916 Mouquet Farm, Pozieres, France no known grave
• Henry Clifford Binks – Killed in Action 12 October 1918 Belgium No Known Grave
• Clarence Victor Chapman – Killed In Action 28 May 1917 Messines, Belgium No Known Grave
• Walter Joseph Leach – Killed In Action 5 October 1918 Montbrehain, France No Known Grave
• Henry George Cook – Killed In Action 23 December 1916 Somme, France Buried in Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt L’Abbe, France
The sixth tree will be dedicated to the memory of all Millgrove people who served in the many wars of the 20th century and more recently.
