A car was found to have veered down the embankment on River Road in Millgrove on Wednesday 21 June.
The car narrowly avoided hitting the entrance steps to the Millgrove Residents’ Action Group’s new walking trail.
Luckily the car avoided rolling over and sustaining further damage because it had come to rest on a large tree log.
There was no sign of the driver who had climbed out the driver’s side window and the car had no number plates attached.
The abandoned car was reported to the Yarra Ranges Council to investigate further. It was removed on Sunday 25 June.
