Geotechnical observations finished on Warburton Highway landslip

The landslip on the Warburton Highway that continues to cause delays for residents has taken the next step towards repairs beginning.

The original goal of starting repairs in February was postponed when VicRoads realised the landslip was more complex than initially thought, with geotechnical experts closing the affected section for one night in February to examine it.

The underground investigations on both sides of the road were done to determine the depth needed to excavate, and the impact on both sides of the road.

Based on these investigations, VicRoads are now finalising plans to safely repair the landslip and determine how long the Warburton Highway will be closed for the works.
