Three… alternatives to op-shops

With op-shops struggling to keep up with donated goods, here are three other ways to sell your pre-loved clothes and household items.

1. Depop

Depop is a mobile space where you can see what your friends and the people you’re inspired by are liking, buying, and selling. Sell your pre-loved, vintage and designer clothes on the app.

2. Facebook Marketplace

Buy or sell new and used items easily on Facebook Marketplace, locally. You can really find anything and everything within your set radius. It’s good advice to meet in a neutral, non-isolated location if you are selling goods to a stranger. Similar sites include Gumtree and eBay.

3. Garage sale

Host an old-fashioned garage sale from your home for an easy way to sell off your unwanted goods. Make sure to have change and erect signs to notify passersby of your sale.
