Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road reopened after early morning collision

Just after 4am on the morning of Tuesday 17 January, a two-car collision left Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road in Woori Yallock, heading towards Healesville, with both lanes closed.

Crews from the Hillcrest and Yellingbo CFAs were called to a washaway as a result of the incident, alongside Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police.

Both lanes of the road were entirely blocked due to both the cars and empty chicken crates strewn across the road that had been launched from a trailer due to the impact of the collision.

Fortunately, everyone involved was able to escape with only minor injuries and the road was reopened after about two hours.
