The Eildon district is in need of casual staff open to working on election day on Saturday 26 November.
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is seeking casual staff to help deliver a secure, transparent, and fair election.
Anyone over 18, who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or holds a current work visa, is eligible to apply to work with the VEC in a variety of roles.
‘Election casuals receive competitive pay and don’t need any prior experience,’ Deputy Electoral Commissioner Dana Fleming said.
“‘We’ve had an amazing response so far across the State, with most positions filled. However, there is some staff attrition due to COVID-19 and other factors. As a result, there are some areas across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria where we’re looking to fill election day roles.”
Election day voting centres in Eildon can be found on the Voting Centre Locator and include locations in Yarra Glen, Dixons Creek, Healesville, Badger Creek, Woori Yallock, Launching Place, Hoddles Creek. Gladysdale, Yarra Junction, Wesburn, Millgrove, Warburton and East Warburton.
People interested in working at the election should register their interest as soon as possible at vec.vic.gov.au/workatelections
