Three… organisations to donate to flood relief

1. VICSES

Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) accepts donations from the public to assist them in the work it does. VICSES can receive donations for Volunteer Unit Assistance Fund (UAF) which enables units of the VICSES registered under section 35 of the Victoria State Emergency Service Act 2005 to meet the costs of purchasing and maintaining equipment and facilities, providing training and resources and otherwise to meet the administrative expenses of the units.

2. Red Cross

Your donation to the Disaster Response and Recovery Fund powers the work of Red Cross emergency teams.  With disasters increasing in size and frequency, it costs around $4 million to $5 million each year to keep Red Cross teams in the field. Donations to the Disaster Response and Recovery fund enable Red Cross teams to do their work: preparing people for emergencies, providing comfort and care when they happen, and supporting them as they recover afterwards.

3. GIVIT

One hundred per cent of publicly-donated money received by GIVIT is used to purchase essential items and services and will fund a much-needed item or service for a person impacted by flooding in Victoria. GIVIT doesn’t take administration fees from donations.
