Monthly Dance in the Valley on for July

The monthly Open Floor dance practice with Jo Woods is back for May on the night of Saturday 9 July at the Arts Centre in Warburton, 3409 Warburton Hwy.

Held the second Saturday of every month from 7pm to 9pm, is held by the Catalytic ‘Open Floor’ Movement Teacher, DJ, Renegade Artist and Writer, Registered Nurse, and Activist Ms Woods with over 25 years of Mindfulness experience. With chilly weather forecast for the weekend, what better way to warm up than with dance.

The session will encourage participants to utilise Open Floor movement resources to release physical, mental and emotional tension in a skillful and embodied way.

Tickets are $25 Comfortable (for those who are financially able and willing to pay a bit more), $20 Full and $15 for Concession.

The program is part of the Yarra Ranges Council-supported Valley Dance collective.

Participants aged 16 years and over are welcome with no prior movement experience required.

They both teach and co-ordinate for ‘Dance in the Hills’ Sassafras & ‘Dance in the Valley’ Warburton and are a proud working member for Open Floor International on their ‘Art in Motion Circle’. Jo also runs monthly, ‘Deeper Dive’ self-care & creative intelligence workshop in Ivanhoe and is a co-founder of ‘Artful Awareness’ with Sarah Winter
