Teenager charged after alleged stabbing in Yarra junction



A 15-year-old boy has allegedly ‘glassed’ another boy near the corner of Hoddle St and Warburton Highway on Thursday 28 April.

The alleged offender used a broken glass bottle to stab the victim, 16, in the arm, who was taken to the hospital to treat the wound.

Victoria Police confirmed the 15-year-old and a 17-year-old male were arrested.

The 17-year-old has been released and is expected to be charged on summons, while the has been charged with intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, affray and assault with a weapon.

He was remanded to appear in a children’s court on 2 May where he was released on bail to reappear at a later date.
