On the agenda for the Yarra Ranges Council Meeting for February 22 2022 are three road improvement projects that will impact eight Seville roads.
The projects up for approval are based on School Road and Valley Road, Victoria Road (the section between Station Road to Walker Road), Railway Road and English Street, and Station Road, Seymour Street and Britton Road.
The council will refer to them all together as ‘The Subject Roads’ for clarity, and the projects have come about as part of the Roads for the Community Initiative, a nine-year, $150 million 2019 Federal budgetary funding initiative to seal roads within the Dandenong Ranges and surrounding areas.
These roads were listed as part of the Council’s September 2019 list of endorsed roads as part of the project.
Residents of the Seville roads that will go under construction will be up for special charges to help fund the project as part of the Special Charges scheme.
