A Lilydale resident is doing her bit to get out of the pandemic.
Jacinta, who works full time in retail, recently rolled up her sleeves to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Jacinta booked in for her jab at her nearest mass vaccination hub – in Cranbourne – after the State Government expanded eligibility for the vaccine to 18-39 year olds.
She said her mind was made up when she saw how many shopping centres had become Covid hotspots over the pandemic.
“I wanted that extra safety, so I decided to come and get the vaccine sooner rather than later,” she said.
“It’s very low risk and the more people that get vaccinated, the quicker we can get out of this situation.”
