Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing man Layton.

The 32-year-old is currently staying in Marysville and moved to Australia from Canada one month ago.

He planned to do a bike ride from Marysville to Omeo and was last heard from on a social media app on 2 February about 10am.

Layton is 198cm tall with long blond/brown hair tied up in a bun.

He was wearing a tan coloured long sleeve shirt and would be carrying a black and orange backpack.

Layton’s bike is white and is kitted out with survival gear, a Canadian flag on the front and the words ‘CALLE JERA’ is written on the frame.

Police have released an image of Layton in the hope someone can provide information on his current whereabouts.

Anyone who sights Layton is urged to contact Benalla Police Station on 5760 0200.
