Two air ambulances called after tree fall



UPDATE 11.53am:

A child has head injuries and will be flown by air ambulance helicopter to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.

A man has serious injuries and will be flown by air ambulance helicopter to The Alfred hospital.

Another child is being taken by road to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

A fourth person remains trapped in the wreckage.

Paramedics are treating four people who have been injured in a crash on the Black Spur.

Emergency services were called to the Maroondah Highway at Fernshaw when a tree fell onto a car about 9.40am on Friday 9 August.

An Ambulance Victoria statement said three of the four people were believed to have serious injuries.

Two air ambulance helicopters have been sent to the scene.
