The River Folk Festival returns for its second year in Warburton from Friday 15 March to Sunday 17 March at various venues across the town.
Bear & Moon Productions has now announced the line-up of international favourites and an array of local acts. Some of the international acts include Red Tail Ring (USA), Scott Cook (Canada), and songstress Dana Sipos (Canada). Hello Tut Tut, The Seduceaphones, Malcura and Santa Taranta will also have everyone on their feet.
The Festival will again host Nia Dance and Yoga Loves Music sessions, for those wanting a bit of stretching and movement in the morning, before chilling out with Tom Richardson, Cass Curran or The Mandy Connell Trio.
If quiet and delicate is more your style, St Mary’s Church will host storyteller and songwriter Lucy Wise, Charm of Finches, Joyce Prescher and Sage.
Local acts, include The Anecdote, The Bean Project, Lily and King, Kristian Mizzi, Phoebe like the Moon, Tinman, Cath Connelly, Spiritus, Orpheus in the Underworld, Woody’s World for Children with his new Lets Play!, as well as a Youth Music Mentoring Program for aspiring local young musicians.
The Festival will play host to a marketplace,numerous workshops and a dedicated Children’s Space with storytelling, felting, face-painting and other activities for young children and the young at heart.
With multiple venues across the picturesque town of Warburton in the Yarra Valley, including two free stages for locals and visitors alike, this is a lively weekend of music not to be missed!
