The CFA has issued advice messages for bushfires at Upper Yarra Catchment and south south-east of Marysville.
The first advice message is for Reefton, Upper Yarra Dam and McMahons Creek.
The fire is not yet under control.
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) said there was no threat to community but conditions could change.
“There is currently no threat to you, but you should stay informed and monitor conditions,” the message said.
The next message is due at 9.50am tomorrow (Saturday 26 January) or if conditions change.
This second advice message is for Marysville, Lake Mountain and Cambarville.
It relates to a bushfire 3 kilometres SSE of Marysville.
Firefighters are attending to the fire, which is not yet under control.
There is no threat to the community but residents should stay informed and monitor conditions.
Bulldozers and aircraft are operating in the area and smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads.
Roads will be closed to allow firefighters to respond: Woods Point Road towards Lake Mountain and Cambarville, closed at the roundabout in Marysville.
Traffic travelling down the Woods Point Road towards Marysville might also be slowed or stopped at traffic management points.
Lady Talbot Drive is closed beyond Taggerty Picnic Ground.The next update is expected by 12.30pm tomorrow or as the situation changes.
