A feast of talent

Anthony Street is back in Celtic Illusion.

‘Celtic Illusion’ makes a spectacular return to Healesville on Saturday, 7 October, with a new show at The Memo.
An upbeat fusion of magic and Irish dance, Celtic Illusion is the creation of Healesville local Anthony Street, renowned as one of Australia’s most talented performers.
Anthony joined Bilton Irish Dance School in Healesville at 14 and after a time with the Australian Irish Dance Company in Melbourne joined Michael Flatley’s famous ‘Lord of the Dance’ spectacular as a lead dancer.
Showcasing a stellar cast of champion and internationally-acclaimed dancers, including performers from both Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, Celtic Illusion offers some of the fastest taps in the world as the dancers’ thunderous rhythm fills the stage in perfect unison.
Celtic Illusion made its Australian premiere in 2011 and has played to sell out audiences across the country, in New Zealand in 2016 and is headed for Hong Kong later this year. Meanwhile, Anthony is looking forward to presenting the show in his home-town.
“It’s a family show for all ages,” he said.
“You have that fusion of Irish dance and the magic of grand illusion.”
