A COLD, dreary morning greeted athletes at Lillydale Lake parkrun on Saturday morning.
The weather didn’t improve much as the Yarra Ranges Athletics club held a community information morning immediately after the park run.
Fortunately, the weather did not deter many members, and those seeking more information about the fun of athletics … run, jump, throw!
A fun morning of questions, games, races and prizes kept everybody entertained.
If you missed the morning, or want to know more, visit the all new and improved website at www.yarrarangesathletics.org.au.
The next club event is Tan relays on Saturday, a fantastic climax to the Athletics Victoria XCR season.
They are well-placed in several grades and are hopefully of retaining or improving those positions in the final round.
After that, the club looks forward to the Saturday 8 October for the opening rounds of the track and field season.

Run, jump, throw … too easy!
