LAST week was National Op Shop Week, a week dedicated to the shops that turn people’s unwanted goods into other people’s treasure.
Eildon MP Cindy McLeish visited the Healesville Salvation Army’s Wear ‘n’ Care store on Thursday 25 August, with the Salvos’ Elzia Owen, to show off an op shop outfit.
Ms McLeish’s outfit of a T-shirt, skirt and jacket came to a grand total of $8.50, while Eliza’s jacket was $4 and her shoes $5.
Though Op Shop Week ran until 27 August, anytime is a good time to stop by one of the Yarra Valley’s many op shops and pick up something special.
