HEALESVILLE High School’s new $15million school went on show on Saturday as part of a weekend of celebrations commemorating more than 50 years of education at Healesville High.
The weekend was marked by reunions, tours of the school, the launch of the school’s history book, the unveiling of honour boards paying tribute to the school’s leaders – principals and school council presidents and lots of great food and wine at numerous get-togethers.
Overwhelmingly, there was a great sense of pride in what has been achieved over the past five decades, and in what Healesville now has as a school that as was proclaimed when it first opened, “the equal of anywhere”.
