SPRING is a busy time of year for Warratina Lavender Farm, which supports a number of community groups with its exhibition space and festivals.
This year’s annual patchwork exhibition raised $1000 for the Wandin CFA, and entry proceeds from the upcoming Pre-Harvest Lavender Festival on 24 and 25 November will also be donated to the CFA.
Farm staff spend about 12 weeks preparing and harvesting lavender plants for the season, which runs from November through to January.
The Mount Evelyn and Yarra Valley Art Society recently held its exhibition showing off a wide range of paintings, unique greeting cards and craft items in a variety of mediums and styles.
The Pre-Harvest Lavender Festival will be held from 9.30am to 4.30pm on 24 and 25 November at Warratina Lavender Farm, 105 Quayle Road, Wandin Yallock.
