MOVIE Entertainment Day at Healesville Junior Football Club rooms will help send four Healesville girls to the a national football competition.
Georgia Murty, Jemma Iacono, Nikita Gentle and Terazita Turner have been chosen from more than 90 girls around Victoria for the 16 and under Girls AFL Secondary Schools state representative squad.
The girls, all members of the HJFC, will go to Queensland to play against Western Australia and Queensland squads in July.
The film day on Thursday 2 July, is a school holiday fundraiser to help send the girls north. The films are all great fun-with-friends type films – Madagascar 2 – Escape to Africa at 10am, Wall.E at 12.30pm and Don’t Mess With the Zohan at 3pm.
For just $5 a session, with free face painting at the first two films, and a free sausage during the last film, it’s a great low-cost way for families and friends to get together on the holidays and help the girls represent Healesville at State level.
Pop tops, soft drinks, popcorn and chips will be available with tickets at the door. It is free for children under three. Phone Debbie Murty on 5962 5277 for more information.
