Warburton Primary School embarks on Term 2 with a symphony of successes and a melody of exciting initiatives, reaffirming its status as a beacon of educational excellence and community spirit.

Building upon the triumphs of the previous term, which saw Warburton Primary clinch the Silvan and Warburton Districts Small School Champion 1st place trophy and School Captain Jesse Elsegood win Grade 6 Boy 3rd Place overall in the District, the school sets its sights on fostering a sense of belonging and connection among students, families, and the wider community. The upcoming Bush Dance evening and Autumn Supper nights (dates to be announced) promise to be joyous occasions, serving as a vibrant showcase of student engagement and community connection.

Warburton Primary is also incredibly proud of the four students enrolled in the prestigious Victorian High Abilities Program, starting this term. This select entry program is designed for students who have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in English and Mathematics, serving as a testament to the school’s dedication to fostering excellence at every level.

The school has also unveiled its newly built Music Room—a testament to its unwavering commitment to nurturing artistic expression and creativity. Within these walls, students are invited to explore the world of music, with a new collection of guitars and ukuleles, adding to the harmonious tapestry of sound. Under the guidance of the classroom teacher Woody Clark, a senior student band also rehearses weekly, infusing the school with the infectious rhythm of collaboration and teamwork.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, the school is hosting an Open Night from 5.30pm to 7pm on Wednesday 8 May showcasing its rich curriculum and engaging environment. The night will include student demonstrations, school tours, an information session, fun activities to get involved in, and student work on display. Everyone is welcome to come on the night!

As Warburton Primary School continues to march forward with purpose and passion, it does so with a steadfast commitment to nurturing the holistic development of every student and fostering a strong sense of individual growth and relentless improvement.
