Motorcyclist struck in Woori Yallock, loses life at scene



The community of Woori Yallock has seen a tragedy unfold after a motorcyclist was reportedly struck by a car on Healesville Koo-Wee Rup Road on Wednesday 3 September.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision in Woori Yallock this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to reports a car had struck a motorcyclist on Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road just after 2.30pm.

CPR was performed, however, the yet-to-be formally identified rider died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

His passengers, a woman and two children, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are now being investigated.

Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road remained closed in both directions for some time.
